**Waiver and Release of Liability**

 

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the iHoop Indeed Youth League, I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:

 

1. I am aware that basketball is a physically demanding sport and involves certain inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to, the risk of property damage, bodily injury, or death. I voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with my participation in the basketball league.

 

2. I understand and agree that the Ronceverte Lions Club, its officers, directors, members, employees, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property that may occur as a result of my participation in the basketball league, except where such injury, loss, or damage is the direct result of the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Ronceverte Lions Club.

 

3. I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Ronceverte Lions Club, its officers, directors, members, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, and liabilities arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage that may occur as a result of my participation in the basketball league.

 

4. I understand and agree that this waiver and release of liability shall be binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, and shall be governed by the laws of the state of WEST VIRGINIA.

 

By accepting and signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this waiver and release of liability, and I voluntarily agree to its terms.

**Code of Conduct**

 

The iHoop Indeed Youth League is committed to promoting a positive and respectful environment for all participants. As a member of the league, it is important to adhere to the following code of conduct:

 

1. Sportsmanship:

   - Treat all players, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect, regardless of the outcome of the game.

   - Display good sportsmanship at all times and refrain from engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct, including

   - Accept and respect the decisions made by the officials, recognizing that they are impartial arbiters of the game.

   - Refrain from questioning or disputing calls in an aggressive or confrontational manner.

 

3. Fair Play:

   - Play by the rules and uphold the principles of fair play and integrity.

   - Avoid engaging in any form of cheating, dishonesty, or unsportsmanlike behavior that may compromise the integrity of the game.

 

4. Teamwork and Collaboration:

   - Work together with teammates, coaches, and opponents to promote a positive and collaborative atmosphere.

   - Encourage and support fellow participants, acknowledging the value of teamwork and camaraderie.

 

5. Safety and Well-being:

   - Prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants, taking measures to prevent unnecessary risks or injuries during games and practices.

   - Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to league officials or organizers.

 

6. Respect for Facilities and Equipment:

   - Respect the facilities, equipment, and property used for league activities.

   - Help maintain a clean and orderly environment by disposing of trash and taking care of equipment.

 

7. Compliance with League Policies:

   - Adhere to the rules, regulations, and policies established by the Ronceverte Lions Club Men's Basketball League.

   - Follow guidelines related to eligibility, registration, uniform requirements, and other league-specific requirements.

 

8. Positive Representation:

   - Recognize that participants are representatives of the league and strive to uphold a positive image through their conduct and interactions both on and off the court.

 

9. Reporting Violations:

   - Report any violations of the code of conduct, or any concerns related to unfair or inappropriate behavior, to league officials or designated representatives.

 

10. Consequences of Violations:

   - Understand that violations of the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to warnings, suspension, or expulsion from the league.

 

By participating in the iHoop Indeed Youth League, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the code of conduct and agree to abide by its principles and guidelines.
